We know that nothing matters more than the safety, security and health of your child. That’s why protection and preparedness are critical considerations in everything we do at Redwood Center of Excellence.
From first aid training for emergency situations to sanitation and ensuring a clean and healthy environment for children is a central philosophy. Our Center is designed with the safety and security of children in mind and you can have confidence that your child is cared for in a secure, nurturing environment every day.
We understand that occasional bumps & incidents can happen with young children but are always fully prepared to deal with any accidents that may occur whilst your child is with us. Our Center team has our qualified Lead Nurse with a dedicated & fully equipped clinic. All our educators have a full paediatric first aid certificate and we provide regular in-house training to ensure staff are kept up to date.
All our equipment is selected for the age and development stage of the children who will access it. We encourage children to think about their own safety and that of others, for example, by tidying up after themselves or taking care and suitable risk-taking when using climbing equipment.
Risk assessments are conducted throughout the day in all indoor and outdoor areas to ensure children’s optimum well-being and safety. We also have a regular cleaning and sanitation schedule for all our equipment so that they are kept in prime condition and well-maintained for our children.
Access is only given to known parents or carers and visitors are escorted
by a member of staff.
The Redwood Center of Excellence works in partnership with
to provide meals for the children above 12 months old.
This partnership was started to help educate children and families about healthy living and the importance of eating well. By sharing meals together, children also learn social skills and self-help skills as they serve and feed themselves.View Our Meal Planner
Children are curious about food
and guiding them about nutrition can explain why we serve healthy meals and encourage them to choose healthy snacks and lifestyles.a
We believe that early childhood is
an important time for establishing lifelong healthy eating habits. Healthy foods help children to learn, concentrate and build sustained energy for physical activity.
We are committed to
implementing and embedding healthy eating and drinking and we provide a positive environment that reflects dietary requirements, cultural and family values.
